Sardis Chapel has re-opened for worship but is following government guidelines for Covid-19. The seating in the chapel has been amended so that each household is 2 metres away from the next, a one way system is in operation, each person attending must wear a face mask and hand sanitiser is at the entrance. All this does mean that the seating capacity of the chapel is greatly reduced, so if you have a large household wishing to attend, please contact us in advance via this website.
Sardis Chapel was established for Christian worship in Waunarlwydd prior to 1860, with the current chapel built in 1909.
Services are usually taken in English but some hymns are sung in Welsh as a reminder of the chapel’s original language and heritage.
There is currently no resident pastor and services are taken with the help of visiting preachers.
Sardis Coffee morning / Bring & Buy sale has paused until the end of February 2022.
Sardis is also a collection point for used postage stamps which are passed on to a locally based Brittle Bones charity.
We also collect bras for Soroptimist International ( SI ) Neath which helps protect the security young girls in Africa.
Services are held on Sundays at 10:30am with the first Sunday of each month being a Communion Service.
