Regretably, Services and Thursday Club at Sardis are suspended until further notice due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
A warm welcome is extended to you!
Sardis Chapel was established for Christian worship in Waunarlwydd prior to 1860, with the current chapel built in 1909.
Services are usually taken in English but some hymns are sung in Welsh as a reminder of the chapel’s original language and heritage.
There is currently no resident pastor and services are taken with the help of visiting preachers.
Sardis has a small congregation of regular attendees and maintains community links by holding Coffee Morning/Bring & Buy sale on Thursdays 10:30 – 12:30 in the Vestry; any money raised goes towards keeping Sardis open.
Sardis is also a collection point for used postage stamps which are passed on to a locally based Brittle Bones charity.
We also collect bras for Soroptimist International ( SI ) Neath which helps protect the security young girls in Africa.
Services are held on Sundays at 10:30am with the first Sunday of each month being a Communion Service.
Adult seated capacity:
